Summer 2017 Teacher Training
Intro Weekend Immersion

Molly Mitchell-Hardt
and Dan Ward

Yoga Teacher Training isn't primarily about becoming a teacher. First and foremost, it's about growing as a student of yoga. If you are a student who wants to get the most out of the classes you attend, then join us and feed yourself with rich information and deep experience in community. And if you are thinking about sharing yoga with others, this training is a step in that direction.

What happens in a training?

Our teacher training sessions may begin with a short talk laying out the concepts that we'll be approaching. The lecture introduces a practice that transforms into a workshop, and into further discussion. Our goal is to nudge questioning minds into a state of playful discernment.

There is a public class each day. On the Sunday morning, we begin with a walk on the beach in meditative silence and end with a deep restful savasana to soak up all the experiences from a weekend to remember.

About Your Teachers:

Yoga transformed Molly’s life, and during challenging experiences, even felt like her saving grace. To her, yoga is a way of life; a path that transcends the physical into the spiritual. As a teacher, she aims to provide a safe and empowering environment for practitioners to experience their own unique transformation.

Dan started practicing yoga in 1990. His love for yoga blossomed into teaching 8 years ago. Everyday, he can be found on the mat. When he's not practicing or teaching he's having fun with his wife and four daughters.

Hamna shida is a Swahili phrase meaning "no problem.” In Tanzania, a place where the value of human connection outweighs that of wealth and status, hamna shida represents the absence of time allowing us to come into the present, connect, and be in a space of gratitude.

The yoga I teach is that essence: fostering presence, love, compassion, community, and connection to ourselves, our bodies, our earth and our universe. It is a lifestyle, a motto, a reminder, and a path, one that has the potential to transform our reality.
